Glass blowing
- Sweating in the heat and the glow of fire is part of it.
- The flower vases of Danny Theys are formed by hand.
- Now and then there is an open door to the studio.
- Daan is working on his newest collection.
Danny Theys met Koen Vanderstukken during a workshop of glass blowing towards the end 1980. It would take up to 1991 before the first furnace was built on the Rodeberg. After years of watching, practising, sweating, toil and moil and never giving up, he succeeded with the help of his wife Chris, to set up a real studio for glass blowing. Their son Daan seems to take over since he was bitten by the glass “bug” at the age of eight.
